From study chapters to one training book
Paste a Lichess Study link and choose whether the repertoire is for White or Black. Zugzwanged imports every chapter it can read, joins shared opening moves, and keeps the variations in one book. The study remains linked as the source.
If you edit the study later, refresh the import in Zugzwanged. Your source can stay on Lichess while the training lives in Zugzwanged.
Train the moves instead of rereading them
The trainer gives you a position and asks for your repertoire move. Spaced repetition schedules the next review from your answer, so a line you remember does not return as quickly as one you missed.
Opponent replies also carry occurrence data for your chosen rating band and time control. That helps separate common branches from rare sidelines. The rare lines remain in the book even when you decide they do not need regular drills.
Import a Lichess Study in five steps
- Create a free Zugzwanged account.
- Open Repertoire and choose "Lichess study".
- Paste the study or chapter URL.
- Choose White or Black, then import the study.
- Open the book and start a training session.
The study must be available for Lichess to export. If Zugzwanged cannot read it, check the link and the study's access settings.
